Unbound Art

Hope. It may not be the first word that comes to mind when you hear “human trafficking,” but it’s a key part of the fight against this horrific crime. The paintings featured in October’s show are inspired by real stories of human trafficking, but with a unique approach. Artists chose to depict the breakthrough, strength, courage and potential for freedom found within each story. You’re invited to learn, engage and be filled with hope that we can see an end to human trafficking, one life at a time.

UnBound Art was curated in partnership with UnBound Waco, to bring awareness to the issues of sex and human trafficking. This show features the work of local artists who were inspired by UnBound’s mission as well as a short short film about UnBound and the artists' experiences. UnBound Art will be free and open to the public during Cultivate 7Twelve’s opening hours from Oct. 5 to Oct. 29. All proceeds from the sale of art featured in the exhibition will go to UnBound Waco, whose services help victims of human slavery.
